Welcome to DCM School
The Curriculum is based on CBSE directives and NCERT course. All aspects of academics are taken care of with due emphasis on interactive learning. Theory and Practical are given due importance.
The curriculum is designed to give students an in-depth mastery of the academic disciplines and applied functional areas. The curriculum gives students a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge that facilitates a learning environment where students learn, analyze and apply — rather than merely know. We emphasize on creating a connect between learners’ spiritual, ethical, social, cognitive, mental and physical growth and development, nurturing individuality and thus enhance one’s innate potentials and developing scientific outlook and transformative competences, in order to meet the demands of changing society.
Detailed Assignments are given to pupils, on periodic basis. Pupils are also assessed on their Life skills, Social skills, Non -Scholastic areas like Discipline, Work Education etc.
Note: Eligibility to write the exam and consequently promotion to the next class etc is strictly as per the guidelines issued by the CBSE from time to time.
At DCM School, kids are nurtured under the tender care of mother teacher till Grade 2. This concept helps in:-
Our focus at the Pre-Primary level is to make the transition between the secure home environment and formal schooling, interesting and as smooth as possible for the child. Emphasis is on nurturing the child's imagination, creativity and providing him opportunities to express himself freely. We lay stress upon developing basic language skills with the help of phonetics and conversation. A sound knowledge of phonetics helps the child to build spellings independently. It is a method of creating an environment which fosters the fulfillment of their highest potential. ADL (Activities of Daily Life) prepares the children to face the challenges of everyday life and helps in building concentration. Various celebrations in the school and round-the-year activities allow self-expression, experimentation and questioning; thereby developing a scientific temper. There is a perfect balance of active and quiet activities, structured, besides the free-play activities.
Like any other educational institute, teachers are the backbone of the entire preschool system. These teachers are entitled with the task of educating children in their eating habits, reading skills, toilet habits, and developing their cognitive skills. While this aspect of preschool teaching is clear to the parents at large, what is less understood on their part is how all this is sought to be done.
To establish effective teaching-learning, our school teachers motivate and encourage the students to explore the world around them. They designed several types of activities for children in a pre-primary school as the necessary teaching methods. These activities help children to learn and enjoy their school time. In a pre-primary school, teachers engage the students in plays, songs, sports etc to accelerate the teaching. Along with all these, they will also try to teach discipline and behaviour which the students need to follow not just in the classroom but also in the home.
Assessments are a very important part of the curriculum of the Millennium Learning system. It aids to bring up the skill levels of each learner. A system of regular assessments help achieves this.

"If I cannot learn the way you teach me,
Can you not teach me the way I can learn?"
A child's mind is like wet clay and needs to be handled with care. Keeping this in mind, we at Springfield World School, provide an encouraging and loving atmosphere, fused with a lot of fun, so that students shed their inhibitions and learn with a free mind. The methodology that we use to teach the students of classes 1 & 2 is ACTIVITY BASED, which involves a lot of co-curricular activities which assist the children in comprehending and retaining the concept in a better way.
The curriculum planned focuses more on depth and is progressive and flexible in its approach and is adjusted according to the learner's need. Assessment at this level is not formal. The children are given activity based assignments to check the retention of the concepts taught. At this level we emphasize more on experiential learning. Our aim is to prepare the children to read, write and do mathematics. We also promote self-control and inner discipline in children through appropriate interaction.

In English emphasis is given on proper use of language through English Labs. In Science the focus is on developing scientific aptitude and making him aware of his/her surroundings. In Mathematics, problem-solving techniques are taught using application based methods. The co-curricular activities allow them not only to gain confidence but also help them realize their potential in various fields. The important aim at this level is the learning of basics and forming a sound foundation which will enable the child to study more complex topics and problems at the succeeding levels. The instruction/curriculum is planned as per the CCE guidelines of CBSE.
